Privacy policy

What this site collects, who else sees it, and what you can do about it. Short version: the calculator runs in your browser and sets no cookies. The only personal detail the site asks for is your email address, and only if you sign up.

Who runs this site

Tool Tax (tooltaxhq.com) is run by Patrick Jenkins through DailyProfits LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. "I" and "me" on this page mean Tool Tax. Questions or requests go to [email protected], or by post to DailyProfits LLC, 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA.

The calculator

The newsletter (Tool Tax Audit)

If you sign up, the form sends your email address directly to Kit, the email service I use. This site doesn't store it.

If your browser blocks the background signup, the form submits to Kit's own page instead, and Kit's privacy policy applies there.

Hosting and analytics

Cookies

This site doesn't set cookies. Nothing on it is used for advertising, and there are no ad networks, tracking pixels or embedded videos.

Links to other sites

The "See the full stack" button and the club-level links go to SHIFT AI and carry my referral code (tooltaxhq). When you click them you leave this site, SHIFT sees that you came from Tool Tax, and SHIFT's own privacy policy applies. If you join, SHIFT records me as your referrer and may share referral details with me under its own terms. The details are on the disclosure page.

The YouTube, TikTok and tool-vendor links are plain links. Nothing from those sites loads until you click one.

If you email me

I use what you send only to reply and to fix whatever you reported. I keep it as long as that takes, and I'll delete it if you ask.

Sharing and selling

I don't sell or rent personal information, and I don't share it with anyone except the services above that run the site and the newsletter.

How long data is kept

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data I hold about you (in practice, your newsletter record and any emails you've sent). Email [email protected] and I'll act on it. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, the UK or California), the law gives you these rights and others, such as objecting to processing or complaining to your local data-protection authority. The newsletter relies on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing. Hosting and analytics rely on my legitimate interest in running and improving a secure site.

Kit and Cloudflare are based in the United States, so your data is processed there.

Children

This site isn't meant for children. Please don't sign up if you're under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
