Is it worth it?
Part of every paid plan is storage and Google extras, and the top plans include YouTube Premium. If you'd pay for that storage anyway, the AI costs less than the sticker price; if you wouldn't, it costs more. For the chatbot alone, AI Pro at $19.99/mo is the plan to compare with ChatGPT Plus and Claude Pro.
Paying for more than one AI tool?
On its own, Google Gemini is cheaper on its own plan. The case for SHIFT AI is replacing several tools you pay for at once, so check your whole stack before deciding.

At ~20 messages a day it works out to about 3¢ per message, and it includes 5 TB of storage. If you'd pay for storage anyway, it's good value; if you only want a chatbot, compare it with the free tier first.
